• Start early from Delhi to cover the 620-kilometer trip between Delhi and Jammu. The roads are fantastic, but depending on how many breaks you take, it would take roughly 12 hours to complete the entire journey. Staying at a picturesque hill station would be a great experience if you could extend your trip to Patnitop.
• Travel 310 / 230 kilometers by road from JAMMU / PATNITOP to Srinagar. The drive is breathtaking, especially once you pass through the JAWAHAR tunnel.
•Spend the evening wandering around DAL lake or taking a short trip in the SHIKARA to see the floating market. You can also shop for sarees, dress material, pashmina shawls, and other items at the floating market. Stay the night at SRINAGAR.
• Ride through the gorgeous green meadows en way to Sonmarg. Experience the infamous ZOJILA pass as well as the path that passes through gorgeous valleys with the Indus River flowing alongside.
• View the TIGER HILL & TOLOLING tops that tower around DRASS. Don't forget to stop by the KARGIL WAR MEMORIAL following DRASS. The names of all the soldiers who died during the KARGIL conflict are carved in stone. Stay the night at Kargil.
• On this day, start early, preferably at 07:00-07:30 a.m., to traverse the SHAM valley en route.
• Begin from the MULBEK MAITREY BUDDHA monument and continue to the LAMAYURU Monastery. If you plan ahead of time, you can also visit the ALCHI and LIKIR monasteries, which are accessible via slight deviations from the Srinagar-Leh Highway. BASGO plains, NIMMU SANGAM, GURUDEV PATHER SAHIB, and MAGNETIC HILL may all be visited because they are on the highway. If time is an issue, you can skip LIKIR monastery.
• Lastly Check-in at the Homestay/Hotel at Leh
• Start early for NUBRA Valley, stopping en way at the iconic KHARDUNGLA PASS for some quick shots of the world's highest motorable road.
• Descend the other side of Khardung La, stopping for a cup of tea or a snack at the lovely KHARDUNG village. The settlement has a 270-degree view of the surrounding mountains..
• Cover the most exquisite DISKIT monastery as well as the 106-foot-tall Buddha Statue.
• Start early (06:00 - 07:00 am) as the Shyok route to Pangong takes about 5-6 hours.
• Check in at Pangong To camp sites / home stays (refer to stay options). Visit the 3 IDIOTS shooting location and spend some quality time at Spangmik..
• PANGONG LAKE is where you'll spend the night.
• Proceed from Chusul to Tsaga to Loma to HANLE after checking out. This is one of the most picturesque routes available. Pangong Lake, beyond MERAK, is breathtaking.
• Check into a HANLE Guesthouse / Homestay (see Hanle stay alternatives). Hanle is home to India's only Highest Astronomical Observatory.
• Take some leisurely hikes through the meadows. Experience the peasants' basic and unsophisticated way of life.
• Stay overnight at Hanle.
• In case you can secure permits for UMLING LA, plan a day trip to Umling La (the new World's Highest Motorable Pass). Check out the list of safety measures for touring High Altitude Passes.
• If not, you can return to HANLE via PHOTI LA.
• Visit the HANLE Monastery to take in the 360-degree panoramic views from its terrace. On one side, you can see dwarf-sized mountains in the background of the massive. On the other side, there is India's Highest Observatory and the HANLE hamlet.
• Stay overnight at Hanle.
• We stop along the trip to see Chumathang (Hot Springs), Thiksey Monastery, and Rancho School. Upshi village for lunch. Santhi Stupa, Explore the Leh Main Bazaar and the Changspa Road for souvenirs.
• Begin your journey to Sarchu after breakfast.
• Enjoy the trip via Gata Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends that leads to the summit of Nakee La Pass, one of the highest motorable routes in the Ladakh region.
• The Lachung La Pass, another high mountain pass in the area, would be your next visit.
• Take a photo stop on the More Plains, where a wide length of verdant land is surrounded on all sides by the massive Himalayas.
• Have lunch in Pang or the surrounding area.
• Stay at the Sarchu for the night
• You will pass through the famed Atal Tunnel, one of the world's longest underground roadways, on your journey to Jispa.
• Proceed to Sissu and Keylong, the relaxed region where natural beauty remains intact in its purest form.
• You can take a short break at the Zingzing Bar, which is one of the world's highest roadside bars.
• Stop by the Suraj Tal, which translates to 'the lake of the sun god' and appears to be a green emerald located amid the barren Himalayas bathed in mystery and grandeur.
• Your next stop is the Baralacha La Pass, a scenic mountain pass at 16000 feet that provides breathtaking views of the convergence of three valleys.
• Have dinner and stay overnight at Manali
• As you arrive at the reporting location in Chandigarh, prepare to begin your action-packed tour.
• Attend a briefing session in the evening and then pick up your bikes.
• Dinner and an overnight stay in a Chandigarh hotel
